For fifteen years, Aparajita has celebrated women who have inspired change, broken barriers, and transformed lives.
Over the years, I have come to realise one simple truth: every extraordinary woman was once a child with a dream.
A child who needed an opportunity.
A child who needed someone to believe in her.
That belief inspired the creation of The Aparajita Institution.
Established in partnership with Nishtha Foundation, this institution is our commitment to ensuring that children—especially girls—have access to quality education, nutrition, transportation, life skills, and the confidence to build a brighter future.
But our vision goes beyond the classroom.
We are equally committed to empowering mothers and women through skill development and livelihood opportunities, because when a woman is empowered, an entire family moves forward — eventually aiming to impact 2 lakh lives.
As Aparajita celebrates its 15th year under the theme of “सातत्य | Continuum”, The Aparajita Institution represents the continuation of everything we stand for—creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and transforming our nation.
Starting with 20,000 girls and then moving onto 2 lakh lives, slowly and steadily.

The Aparajita Institution
Aparajita has celebrated women whose courage, resilience, and achievements have transformed lives and communities. Through these journeys, one belief became stronger than ever—that every extraordinary child deserves a chance to grow, thrive and learn.
The Aparajita Institution, located at Baruipur, was born on 14th April, 2026 on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Established by Sanmarg Foundation in partnership with Nishtha Foundation, the institution is dedicated to empowering children, women, and families from underserved communities through education, opportunity, and holistic development.

At the institution, children receive free education alongside English communication, digital literacy, health and hygiene awareness, sports, arts, creativity, mindfulness, and essential life skills. Supported by trained educators, nutritious meals, healthcare support, transportation facilities, libraries, and computer learning centres, the institution prepares children not just for examinations, but for a dignified and purposeful life.
The institution’s vision extends beyond the classroom. Mothers and women from the community are actively engaged through skill development and livelihood programmes including stitching, weaving, handicrafts, pottery, jewellery-making, menstrual hygiene awareness, and financial empowerment initiatives—creating opportunities for women to become self-reliant and economically independent, and to support the education of their children.
Beginning with 20,000 girls and aiming to impact over 2 lakh lives, The Aparajita Institution aims to create lasting, generational change—where every child is given free education and the opportunity to learn, every woman is empowered to grow, and every family is supported to thrive.
